Wellness tips

A place of your own

The idea behind this wellness exercise is that when you connect with your subconscious mind you need a place to go. You can't just jump off a merry-go-round without a soft place to land.
This short wellness tip is designed to provide a space in your mind, in your heart, in your cells, and in the deepest parts of your being where you feel safe and calm.
Once you have your place, is can always be your safe harbor in stormy seas.

Finding your Naturscape

Begin by relaxing. Take a few slow deep breaths. You don't have to close your eyes, but it helps. Now think about where in Nature you are happiest. Fantasize. Where do you long to be? More importantly, where do you feel safe and comforted?
Is it a sandy expanse of white beach with palm trees behind you, a calm ocean and warm sun?
Perhaps it is a forest near a meandering stream surrounded by a mix of old growth and fresh leaves.
Or is it a meadow filled with wild flowers in bloom?
A peaceful garden filled with fragrance and beauty?
Have I missed your heartscape? Wherever it is, create that place in your mind. Take your time.

This is the most important part. You must imagine this place vividly and hold the image in your mind.

This is YOUR place of refuge, safety and nourishment. As you repeatedly go there, feel free to move around and decorate as you wish. It's yours alone to do with as you please.

For now stay relaxed and take note of how this place feels in your body. Mark the feelings.
I can't stress enough how important this is. Luxuriate in the feelings. Stay with it until you feel WONDERFUL!

For a few moments keep all else at bay. For now feel SAFE and CALM. INDULGE.

Once you have that feeling I invite you to leave that place for a moment. Now find your way back, and feel yourself relax deeply into the beauty and safety you have created. When you are ready to leave, remind your subconscious mind that you will be back, say good-bye and slowly find your way back.

The more you follow this wellness tip the more powerful it becomes. Soon it's like taking your own free vacation!
